Westridge

Westridge is a quiet, tucked-away west Edmonton neighbourhood. Patricia Ravine wraps its north and northeast sides, Wolf Willow Ravine runs along the south, and the southeast edge looks over the North Saskatchewan River valley. Wolf Willow Road is the only way in, so the streets carry almost no through traffic.

Daily life pairs the ravines with quick city access. The Wolf Willow Stairs drop from Wolf Willow Crescent into the valley trail system, and the Westridge Wolf Willow Country Club Community League runs a hall, outdoor rink and tennis courts at Wolf Willow Road and Westridge Road. The 170 Street and Whitemud Drive interchange sits at the edge of the neighbourhood, putting West Edmonton Mall, the University of Alberta and downtown within an easy drive.

Housing is almost entirely single-family: roughly four in five homes were built in the 1970s and the rest in the 1980s, most of them large, family-sized houses on generous lots, with a few newer rebuilds among them. It suits established families and move-up buyers who want space, privacy and the river valley at the back door, and who are ready to act when a home comes up.
